Highlights:

  1. The Peles Castle in Sinaia: Built at end of the 19th century by King Carol I, with the new german style;
  2. Brasov City: Settled by the Teutonic Knights in the 12th century, the Crown of Transylvania;
  3. Sighisoara: The birthplace of Count Dracula, one of the still inhabited medieval fortresses in the world, being protected by UNESCO;
  4. Dracula Castle: Built in the 14th century by german Saxons and served as customs for many centuries between Transilvania and Wallachia.

After breakfast in your hotel, we will leave Bucharest towards the legendary land of Transylvania, the country beyond the forest where many myths were born. We will stop at Sinaia, the most famous mountain resort in Romania known also as the “Pearls of the Carpathians”. We will visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence for the first Royal Family of Romania, King Carol 1st and Queen Elisabeth. The Peles Castle was considered one of the most beautiful and modern castles in Europe. The Peles Castle is very impressive due to the architectural style and decorations with beautiful interior design and the modern facilities for the last half of the 19th century. It is considered the most modern castle in Europe: electricity, vacuum cleaner, electrical elevator and central heating system. This tour will last about 45 minutes, after which we will visit the beautiful gardens in front of the castle.

We will have lunch at Sinaia, the continue the day with a spectacular drive through the Carpathian Mountains and arrive at Bran to visit Bran medieval castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle.

After visiting the legendary Castle Bran, we will head towards to Brasov, where you will enjoy a beautiful medieval city tour in Brasov and visit the famous Black Church – this is the biggest Gothic Style church in Romania.

Overnight in Brasov.

After breakfast in hotel, we will head to Sighisoara, the medieval citadel in the heart of Transylvania. We will take a short walk in the citadel and admire the most beautiful medieval buildings in Transylvania. Then we will head toward Sibiu. On the way to Sibiu,

we arrive in Biertan, where we will admire the biggest Fortified Church in Romania! Then we go towards Sibiu, the European Capital in 2007 with Luxemburg, also it’s the one of the most beautiful in Transylvania. We will visit Big Square, Small Square and Huet Square. One overnight in Sibiu.

After the delicious breakfast in the hotel, we will start our way back to the Bucharest, the capital of Romania! We will cross the beautiful Olt Valley, and we make a stop at the charming Cozia Orthodox Monastery. We will continue our journey to Curtea de Arges, once the Capital of Vallachia and the Headquarters of Romanian Rulers. We will see the beautiful Curtea de Arges Monastery, one of the most representative for Romanian authentic style. Here is also the official burial place for the Kings and Queens of Romania.

We arrive in Bucharest around 18:00.

  1. Peles castle is closed on Monday in summer program, Rasnov Citadel will be visited instead.
  2. Peles castle is open from Wednesday to Sunday in winter program. On Mondays and Tuesdays, Rasnov citadel will be visited instead.
  3. If you need another night to stay, please contact us. The room will charge 65 euros/night (Twin room).
  4. If you need to transfer to the airport, we will help you to find a taxi, the cost will be around 15 euros.
